Earlier this morning, I heard the great song: "The Green Leaves Of Summer." by: Dimitri Tiomkin (SP?) And as a bit of info on this song, it was the theamatic music for the great John Wayne movie, The Alamo.

    ESPECIALLY for wtid45 ;-))

"A time to be reaping, a time to be sewing, the green leaves of summer, are calling me home. It was good to be young then, the green leaves of summer are calling me home." Or something like that.

This song brings a tear or two to my eyes everytime I hear it.

A few more classic songs early this am:

    "Sundown" (again) by: Gordon Lightfoot.
"Hold Your Head Up High" (again) by: Argent.
"Tennessee Flat Top Box" by: The Man in Blacks Daughter: Rosanne Cash.
"Precious One" by: Steve Kroon-which is some smooth Jazz music.
"Drivin' My Life Away" by: Eddie Rabbitt.
"Foolin' Around and Fell In Love" by: Elvin Bishop.

Some great music played in the early morning hours. Also, listened to several German Bier trinking songs including: "Hier Bier."

Agreed, their music doesn't do much for me either. I came across them whilst on Youtube and played their A-Punk track.

I only had time for listening to two songs last night before The Searchers started playing on AMC last night. They are:

"My Life" by: Billy Joel, and "Rock Around the Clock" by: Bill Haley and his Comets.
