Saw a previous post about the same topic but for another unit (Armored Ordnance Battalion) and the info provided was exactly what I am looking for.

Google has been zero help on this, and none of my research has netted any real help. Trying to see where the 475 pax that make up a 240mm Howitzer Battalion are assigned.
I see that each Bn has 6 guns with 24pax per gun (144pax), but don't know the make-up of the Crane section, the Cooks, Motor Pool, Bn HQ, Srvc Btry, etc..

Appreciate any help you can provide.

It's T/O&E 6-395 and -397. You can order them from U.S. Army in WWII Tables of Organization and Equipment Photocopy Index $8 answers your questions.

Thank you sir! In a little over an hour I got directions to some information that would have taken me forever to find without this forum. You guys have been a great help in my research of My Grandfathers Unit, the 270th FA Bn. Thanks again!
