I've found a lot of sharpshooter badges that appear correct but I can't tell the difference between WWII, Korea and Vietnam era. I'm sure the makers marks can tell me but I don't know of any place I can find a listing of the different makers marks and the era's they correspond to.

Thought I would update this post with a pic of my Grandfather and a question. This picture was taken toward the end of his tour and possibly overseas. In fact it was the photo that appeared in the paper when he came home. You may or may not be able to tell but he is wearing an 88th Division patch on his left shoulder. This is puzzling to me because he served his entire tour with the 85th. Is it possible he was briefly transferred to the 88th at the end of the war or could he have just borrowed a shirt from a guy in the 88th so the picture would be in uniform? Any ideas??????

Here's an update on my project and a picture. Everything on the uniform is now original WWII era items with the exception of one DUI and all the ribbons. I bought a cotton khaki tie and shirt which I believe is correct for a summer uniform. It is also what my grandfather appeared to be wearing in the second picture. I'm looking for opinions so feel free to comment. I believe the winter uniform was an od wool shirt and green tie. Anyway, I appreciate any additional help. Thanks
