i am the oldest daughter of john l page iam most grateful to edwin who found it. also all that he did in locating us. what is so amazing is when it was found. it was exactly the day two years later that daddy had amassive heart attack. he died the next am on dec 21 2005. he had been very active up until that time . the night before he had brought in a load of firewood. he was agreat man. was very humble and never after any recognition. he would be tickled about and he would want edwin tokeep it. so do i, but that is not up to me. does anyone know what the initials e.r.b. stand for on the back of the bracelet?

Thanks for your response, i wrote you or your sister an email yesterday, i hope you had the chance to read it!
This coming Tuesday i'm sending the bracelet to your mother and i'm sure she will be exited, so am i.
I hope to get some pictures of John and his family so i can put a person and story behind the bracelet.
I was wondering myself where E.R.B. stands for, i hope some one can give us the answer on that.
    We keep in touch!

Ed, this a great thing you have done here, I for one want to say that I am very moved by this whole thing! To think that you found the bracelet on the very same day that Mr John passed from this world, is a little amazing to say the least! If I have your permission, I would like to submit this to a reporter friend of mine and see if they will pick it up and place it in the paper? If all parties agree, I will forward this to her!

Also, thanks very much for posting the pics of this hero! The jeep photo is my favorite!

    Thanks again!!

***just a correction here, I got the dates wrong, Mr. Page passed on the day after Ed found the bracelet. Sorry for the mix up.

was wondering what happened to the pictures that have been removed.would like to mention that the pictures of john, the one in uniform was from bootcamp and the other one was made one month before he died. there are 2 other ones that can be clicked on to. the one of the jeep , john is the one seated. the other of those was made several years ago. his middle initial l, is love . that is his middle name.and how true! does anyone know what the initials e.r.b. stand for on the back of the bracelet ? from john's daughter ninamarie

Originally Ed posted the pics at Photobucket, then linked to them from here. Last week, he moved the pictures around on Photobucket, breaking the links. He said he will re-link them.

We have no idea who e.r.b. is. Was thinking maybe it was friend of his in the service.

With permission of John's daughter Ninamarie, i add these 2 documents to this thread.
I made them big so they can be read by anyone.
They do not need any explanation, they speak for themselves!
    Thanks again Ninamarie!

Last sunday i went back to the spot where i found the bracelet, to take some new pictures of the spot and surounding area.
These pictures will i send to Mrs. Page to give her an idea of the landscape where her late husband has lost his bracelet.
The pictures i took on the day i found the bracelet where lost during a computercrash.
