Now I already know about the Kachin Rangers and the Jingpaw Rangers in the CBI. But heres a new one I wasn't aware of. On page #50 of "The War in the Pacific,From Pearl Harbor to Okinawa 1941-1945" by Jonathan Gawne there is a photo of a Gurkha standing next to a sign saying US Gurkha Rangers OSS. He wears a US issue shirt and pants with British puttees and boots. The photo is dated 1/45 Burma. Does anyone have any other information as to them and thier deployment by the OSS?
JC,I assumed you had already checked the web so ive been racking my brains exactly which books to try and find info in given the combination of the Gurkhas and the Oss. So far as you no joy,but i was going to contact the Gurkha museum ref my Dad i could kill two birds with one stone
