Lol, yeah its funny when you find something wrong you know no one else will notice but I just get bugged when I find something wrong and have to fix it. Like ftoys Finnish Brewster 239, I was really into getting this model as they had found a Finnish 239 complete and in very good condition at the bottom of some lake. However the model is actually a f2a2 it won't be hard to fix but come on might have to get the mark one kits that says they're really the correct model. Plus mark one has a f2a3 which might be good for one of the carrier's I want to build. Hopefully my nephew in Australia can get me a f9f panther always liked that plane from bridges at toko ri and navy vs the night monsters.
I watched Tokyo Ri on the weekend...I’ve always been annoyed by how long the US took to sweep their jets...so I’m more of a Cougar fan...more what it should be IMO...
Pretty well done messing around with this now, just couldn’t stand all those spare parts in the box so I added to the model along with more rigging. The Fletcher did not have guns at the stern, but.................
I know. I have a big box full of spare parts and separate markings to add to the planes etc in case....
As completed she did not have 20mms at the stern. 3 20mm guns were added during her August 1943 refit.
Oh boy, thanks! I just put one down and one up, on a little platform. Just my idea, but I had no idea that they ever added any more because all the photos of her that I ever looked at, I never remember seeing that addition.
I use NavSource Naval History - Photo Archive Main Index More photos & most often better quality photos. Only downside is no hotlinking of their photos. So you either have to download & upload as an attachment, or Google search for the photo.
Your not "skipping" the middleman at all. Have you actually compared the two sites? NHHC's photography for USS Fletcher(DD-445) - 35 photos Search Navsource's webpage on USS Fletcher (DD-445) - 54 photos Destroyer Photo Index DD-445 / DDE-445 USS FLETCHER Example #2: USS Radford DD-446 NHHC - 13 Photos Search Navsource - 31 photos Destroyer Photo Index DD-446 / DDE-446 USS RADFORD Since I have not been on the NHHC's photography site in some time, I did notice that they now have for download varying sizes & quality of their photos - low quality/size .PNGs, medium quality/size .JPEGs, and sometime high quality/size .TIFFs. The TIFFs are a nice addition for photos I would like to use as wallpaper/screen savers on my PC.
A bird in the hand is worth a half million in the bush. They might have half a million, they might have three million, but if you cannot access them, they have zero.
Lucky! My Verizon DSL has been slipping a lot lately. Seriously considering switching to Comcast cable.
