I recently learnt taht one of my mates has a M1911A1 which has seen service in WW2, Korea and Vietnam. The Cold has mismatched parts with the Slide and lower receiver/ firing mechanism being made by different factories. The Pistol was taken by a Chinese rifleman of a dead US soldier early during the Korean war, the pistol was then reaquired after said Chinese rifleman was killed.
