Hi everyone ... this is a recent patch i just picked up VMF-124 Marine squadron patch. Came from an estate of older patches and everything looks good to me but i am not an expert and hoping you guys can help me out. pacth is 5.25 inches, not sure if it is hand sewn but looks like it, the red material is felt and has a muslin type material backing. There is 1 thread on back that glows under UV...nothing else does. This patch even has the right smell ! I have heard that during WWII synthetic materials were just coming out and some authentic WWII patches will have some glow under UV black light.

Could this be later Korean war or vietnam ?

    Thanks so much

here is a link to the photo in case the uplaod does work.

I'd call it good to go. Looks hand made and appropriate for WW2, in anycase it's prior to 1965 when they changed to VMA/VMFA 124.
