War Cabinet – new strategy and war game currently in development

Thanks for you comment. We are going to have two different armies which are part of two houses - House of Orange and House of Green. They represent the USSR block and the NATO line, so we could think about something tjat you suggested

 

Sounds intriguing. I do not like the names "House of Orange/Green" - but I'm not that familiar with the overall story, so I'll have to check it out.

 

DON'T use the "house or Orange" because there IS a historical House of Orange (Holland, N-Ireland...).


And all the stupid fantasy names for peoples and places, won't improve game experience and feel (and sales!!). Especially when you want to involve real time USSR and NATO in this.
COME-ON !?

Okay, so here is a smart move:

Story line: SUPPOSE after WW1 Austria-Hungary didNOT disintegrate, but was allowed to continue in a bit (but not much) smaller version.
Like Germany (lost some provinces..but that's all).
Now, WW2 came and left ..Austria-Hungary was united with germany in a Nazi-Reich.. but again it dissolved..as there came a DDR , so too the east Austria-Hungary (yes..Hungary, Chzec parts) came to be a HDR...but within west AH and East HDR there was still a volatile mixture of ethnic peoples ...
and now it is 1985... your game , and the stuff erupts.
Enter USSr and NATO.

Go take it from there, but with REAL places, and REAL sentiments, and REAL Balkan minorities....

aaaaand..btw the name War Cabinet sucks...for such a mayhem you want to model. Reminds too much of Britain in which the cabinet is in fact IN control and facing an EXTERNAL adversary.
Besides , as I understand it, it has nothing to do with using/manipulating/addressing different ministers of different post to cling on as long as possible to the power and control of a country in disarray. It is more a "common" RTS came. There are literally thousands of them..

 

Your alternative story scenario sounds very good.
We want to represent conflict between small countries which are using equipment from different origin. Superpowers won’t be directly involved there are just a source of war toys.
War cabinet came to our mind to associate to what you will do in the game with the complete control of the military affairs minus the politics.
