Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could tell me who the abbreviations were who attended a war meeting with P.M. Winston Churchill on March 6, 1945. W.M.(45)26th Meeting – C.M.(46) 13th Meeting. Can anyone point out where I should go to find out? I'm assuming these are abbreviations for the name of the offices that they hold, but I am a complete novice at this. Any help would be appreciated :)

    In this meeting they mention:
    C.A.S.
    CNS
    C.I.G.S.
    B.B.
    P.J.G.
    AE
    H.O.
    M.A.P.
    J.A.
    E.B.
    T.S.
    M/Ag
    M/H.
    W
    ISA
    B.
    S
    B. & B.B.
    L.
    O.L.
    S/S Air.
    S/S.
    L.W. & E.B.
    L.P.
    AVA.

I'm going to take a stab at a few here:

C.I.G.S. = Chief of the Imperial General Staff

    M/Ag. = Minister of agriculture

    H.O. = Home Office

    M/H = Minister of Health (?)

S/S Air = Secretary of State for Air

You'll find glossaries of abbreviations in the British Official histories - notablly the 'Grand Strategy' series
