Was America justified in dropping the atomic bomb on Japan?

    Signed by dozens of scientists...Who cannot read a map...Let alone do some actual research on the subject of the military in Hiroshima.

    Why is the estimated dead soldiers of Hiroshima upwards of 40,000? Given that Hiroshima was not a "military target"...

    I hear that nonsense all the time. Both target cities were the military and civilian capitals of their prefects. Nagasaki Arsenal produced the special torpedoes used in the raid on Pearl Harbor. One of the bombs went off directly over ~5,000 troops lined up for morning inspection.

    It takes willful ignorance to ignore those facts.
