Im with miguel here.. Im against illegal immigration.. God knows we have our own problems here.. Im for a correctly policed points based system with race, creed and colour playing no part. However those that are in our respective populations illegaly now are in most part being employed illegaly by someone. They are not all druggies, gang members and wino's .. If they are good enough to do our dirty jobs, good enough to employ for cash, no questions asked... By some who dont worry about laws when they need a cleaner or maid.. Then they are good enough to be treated in our medical services.

Carl, he clearly did respond to your post, your name is there ;)

Unsurprisingly I'm with Urqh and Miguel, illegal immigration is a problem and needs cracking down on over here as well, however I can't help wondering what the factual basis for your 'sore throat' claim is and whether you have any statistics or data to support it. I would suggest that this is a flaw with the emergency rooms and that actually whilst someone clearly should get care for serious illness or injury whether they are a legal resident or not, for something non-serious they should simply be sent away.

Tex, any reply to the 40-50 million doctors issue?

OK, he did and I had not noticed my last name used, I humbly apoligise to Miguel. Im a 4-eyes guy-I wear glasses for correcting my vision and sometimes I do not notice things. However, the question still remains wantonly for an satisfactory reply.

I certainly do know that some small segment of the business population thinks that illegals are a plus to our economy. I will never count an illegal alien as anything more than a liability to our economy. If they ever did the right thing and decided to play by the rules--OUR rules-then I would have zero things against them. I could care less if they are Latinos, Oriental, or whetever, as long as they played the game by OUR rules, and that is-to come here legally in the first place and do things the right way, they would be most welcome here in my book.

That Los Faroles Mexican Restaurant that I frequent and will dine at again sometime Friday, several of their employese all have come here from El Salvadore---legally. I have absolutely no problems with those people being here. One of them is a cook-and a damned good cook at that, the reat are Waiters and Waitresses, all whom do a great job they are tasked with. I never, not once have to ask for a refill of Tea or anything. At the end of my meal-no matter if all I have are 6 Bean and Cheese Nachos, or just a glass of Tea--I tip them double the accepted limits of 10-15% of the bill price.

Now, if I knew these folks came here illegally, I would have an issue with that. However, these people are paying taxes, and are trying their best to learn the English Language all the while, trying their best to become Americans and it integrate into our society. The ones I have problems with are those who come here and refuse to become a part of our community.

Anyway, I still await a worth-while reply thank you veey much ;-))

Carl, fair point but you have not replied to my question which was where is the evidence for illegal immigrants going to hospital for minor problems?

Also, out of curiosity how do you know the folks in your cafe are there legally?

Thats my point.. I accept and agree with you there carl. My point is that many people employ illegals when it suits them. Lets start jailing these hypocrites.

Hi Urgh, Stefan, first for Urgh.

Thanks Mate and that's also a thing I hate about what goes on with Human Smuggeling. Those here illegally also get totally "used" by the jerks who hire them knowing all too well, that they hold Damecles's Sword above their heads. I can't stand criminals-no matter who they are, where they come from as well as those crimials who hire then use and abuse people who for the most part-come here to try to better themselves as well as to get money to help out family. My big issue with them, is only if they come here illegally when it's just as easy-if not easier-to come her legally. ;-))

Stefan, the evidence that illegal aliens go to hospitals and such SHOULD be evident to you? Many Hospitals have closed their doors either partially or fully-because of the flood of illegals going to their ERs and not paying a Penny towards their bills. If they at least made a limp try at paying something on their bills, I would have a lesser problem with them seeking Med care.

The proof is also in what I have seen first hand when needing treatment at an ER. I have had to wait 8-to-16 or so hours, to get treated for something painful that happened to me which I shall not mention-that indeed did need ER treatment. On that particular and VERY painful visit, I waited in the ERs lobby for 10 hours-while illegal after illegal alien was ther eto get treatment for headaches and sore-throats. I was on the other hand-in pain and had to keep pestering them for somehting to ease the pain. I had an open wound that SHOULD have been treated at leas much sooner than it was treated. I painfully tried to sit and sometimes slouch in a chair, and all the while, stuff was oozing from the wound and the wound was becoming badly infected. That ooze eventually made a fairly large puddle on the floor.

Well, after about 10 hours of waiting, I was FINALLY called back into an ER back room for what I thought was going to be immediate treatment-but oh ho no-that was not the case. I waited at least another 5 hours-in pain, having recieved nothing but a blood pressure cnad heart check from an over-worked Nurse and I was still oozing on the floor. My pants legs were completely soaked with the stuff that was oozing fourth, the stench was becoming unbearable. Well, after at least five hours of waiting with only one brief visit from a Nurse-a young doctor came in and told me exactly what I had and said there was no treatment available in the area for it, and was in total disbelief that the Dr did absolutely nothing-no pain killer, no clensing of the wound, nothing. All he did was to suggest that I drive 150 miles to harlingen, TX to go to the open wound treatment center they have there saying that Corpus Christie had no such facility. Luckily for me, another hospital worker happened to be walking by the door when he overheard part of what that young dr said. After the Dr left adn after he finished doing whatever he was doing-he stopped by and asked me what the Dr had said. He also mentioned that he could smell the infection that has set into my left leg and said it could easily go Gangrene-if not immediately treated. He also told me that that hospital indeed had an open wound treatment center-which he was in charge of, and also in which was located a mere 15 or so feet away from the ERs doors!

He said he was off duty and that his Dept had been closed for several hours (this was early in the morning about 3 AM I think? and this guy told me that he only happened to be there by chance of being called in to do some preparations for some meeting they were to have later that morning. He went out of his way to help me out by opening his treatment center giving me the first of about some 30 treatments I needed. I was extremely greatful to this Gent. He was great with his diagnosis and treatment of my infection and I will never forget what he did for me as well as his professionalism shown. This Gent is a rare case these days, menaing one who will go out of their way to treat a person with a health issue.

Anyway, to finish answering your question, I saw it first hand-at what happens when illegals clog the system. If you don't believe a word I said-that's your total right to do so, but-Machts Nicht-I was there to witness it first hand-I don't recall seeing you or other non-believers at that ER when I was there.

    Cheers-C.

You do realise that hearsay and 'that should be obvious' doesn't constitute evidence. 1. How do you know these people were illegals? 2. How do you know what their medical complaints were? Sorry, not meaning to argue with your general point just reserving judgement on the issue until i see actual evidence that doesn't rely on your 'illegal-omiter' or your skills cs a doctor

Stefan, what I DO realize, is that your a died-in-the-wool Liberal who will never see the light. Personally, I don't care if you or anyone else here believes my story or not? I was the one there and I simply typed in what I saw. Period end of story.

His point is simply that you're generalising. You're turning one isolated case into a norm.

Its none of my business what america does or doesnt do but i gotta say i think the american health system is scandalous.

Anything is only as good as its worse part.I dont see why the defence budget cant be cut to fund the health system,America will fly to the other side of the world to fight for freedom and to help the poor in other countries but wont help its own poor, are other countries poor more important than your own?

I know the arguement could be made that cutting funds for the army would be bad for the economy,I honestly think americans have a distorted view of free public health care, for a start you have to be below a certain level to even qualify for free medical card.
My sisters husband who is american had to call an ambulance recently and it cost a thousand bucks, what would happan if you didnt have a thousand bucks?
What would happan if you were in hospital sick, would you be kicked out of hospital if a paying customer needed the bed,its like something from a dickens novel,
I think americans should realise that their own poor are more important than the poor in other countries, charity begins at home.

Miguel, No, I am not generalizing. This happens all the time every day around the clock. I've had to go into the ER several times in my lifetime. Twice for surviving bad car accidents caused by some dillweed (the other driver) not paying attention to the road. Result was, I had many broken bones each time and I live with the freaking pain daily thanks to those irresponsible drivers. I almost died both times. Another time was when I had Double Pneumonia, (almost died again) another time was when I had a Double Staph Infection-I think these were certainly more urgent for care over someone with a stinking sore-throat!!!

But noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, YOU would rather see those illegals use up all of our resources instead of LEGAL Citizens of this (or any other Country for that matter) get the treatment that they are entitled to. Now, im not atotal blackheart when it comes to people needing medical care and such. IF some ILLEGAL ALIEN who snuck across the border gets his legs cut off because he was stupid enough to use the rails of a section of train tracks-for his bed. I mention this becayse near my home town, this stupidity happened all the time-decapitations of heads and torsos too. Now, those individuals would STILL be alive had they entered this country legally instead of sneaking across the border breaking our laws. I guess you don't realize why there are laws in place????

Anyway, if that said Illegal Alien whose legs were lopped off because he was stupid enough to use the train tracks as a bed-and didn't wake up or move in time to keep his legs from being cut off-thats his TS. Now, 20 years ago it would have been totally unheard of for an ILLEGAL ALIEN to be able to sue the Train Company whose Train happened to be going about doing what they were supposed to be doing, but just happened to accidently be on the train tracks that this ILLEGAL ALIEN just happened to decide to use as a bed. Nowdays, that said Railroad Company can be sued into bankruptcy by said ILLEGAL ALIEN because of all the stupidity that is now in place by the PC Police-meaning crap Orgs like: the ACLU, NAACP, la raza, acorn and God knows whom else?

    Cheers.

I couldn't :salute: you but you got 30 reps instead.

I couldn't have ever said it better than you just did. I agree with every word of your post and-AMEN to that. Oh and, in case someone is """"offended"""" because I said AMEN-well, tsk tsk tsk.

This is the true problem here. Too many people use hospitals and ER's as a doctors office. They will go in and get care and never pay the bill. The hospital will simply write it off....can't get blood from a turnip. People like this are the reason that you have to pay $1k for that ambulance ride or $6k for an ER visit. Blame the people that spend their money on a Wii for little Johnny instead of health insurance...not the hospitals or insurance companies.

What would happan if you were in hospital sick, would you be kicked out of hospital if a paying customer needed the bed,its like something from a dickens novel
This is just simply not true. All doctors take an oath to take care of the sick. Granted, you would be hard pressed to find a doctor to work pro bono nowadays but they would not kick you out.

Well said AGFA. Also, if a hospital tried to keep you from getting care-they would be sued out of business thanks ala ACLU and crap orgs like them who all they exist for-is to find someone or some company to asue. It's all for their gaining that allmighty Dollar.

I remember a very sad case that happened in Los Angeles? in Kalifornia. A black Lady went to a hospital to seek emergency care-and those SoBs totally ignored her. There was video played that showed several hospital staff members who simply walked over her-as she fell on the floor and I guess passed out? I recall that she lay there dying-for what? appx 2 or so hours? and finally when some hospital worker decided to help her out-it was too late as she needlessly expired. Now in this case and cases like this-I side 100% with her family and I sure hope that her family got millions for her senseless death. I am not embarassed to admit that I got pretty emotional when I saw that video-as well as I got very sickened by it too.

Carl, allegations about my political beliefs and your unnecessary capitalisation aside, all I am doing is asking for evidence. I am simply asking how you know there people are illegal, what evidence you have of their minor complaints and what the factual basis of your generalisation is. If you can't answer there questions i can only surmise that you are basing them on prejudice rather than evidence.
