I dont know if anyone here is familiar with the Mel Gibson, Sam Elliot Vietnam War movie or not? but, I wanted to say that the man that Sam Elliott portrayed excellently in the movie: Command Sergeant-Major-Plumley--lost his battle with cancer as of 4am this morning.

    Rest in Peace Sarge.

    Thank you and I agree.

One of the things I really liked about the movie was that it was done in the style such as the classics were made. It has the same "feel" IMO ;-))

He truly was a remarkable soldier--serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Forever he has my ultimate respect and awe.
