First, I have to admit that I don't know squat. But my uncle flew in a Lancaster as a navigator in WWII and I have a soft spot in my heart for them. I saw this set in a local thrift shop/ It looked like new with some of the stuff still in little plastic bags. A couple of the props on the Lanc were broken off but they were whole and should be an easy glue on.The shop wants $80 Canadian for it (about $85 American).

Anyhow here is a link I found to the same kit.

    Is this a good buy?

    Thanks for your help.

If its a thift shop I would try to haggle as they are not pristine. Offer 50 and see what you can get!

It's good to get, if it's cheap. The Lancaster wasn't one of Corgi's finest moments ; it's full of inaccuracies ( eg should have had annular engine cowlings, propellers should have exposed spinners, the propellers should be 4-bladed, etc ).

However, the Mosquito is an excellent and sought-after model as Corgi haven't made that many bomber variants......
