It's for a history project and I would like some opinions. Here my angle:
Hitler dies in WWI, leaving the NAZi's without a strong, deranged leader. They lose the election in Germany to the Communist. The Communist then align themselves with the USSR. Would there still be a WWII with Russia and Germany on the Axis fighting for Germany and if so how would things play out?

It needs to be longer. Pose a question, share your thoughts/answer, provide a little background.

I dont think there would have even been a war without Hitler's territorial aims.

Yes there would, look at the map of pre-ww2war europe there is one glaring thorn of both Germany and the Soviet Union and that is Poland.

1, Poland still gets the Polish Corridor, Eastern Corridor and the city of Danzig this strikes into the heart of German pride, the German Communist Government still beys for Polish blood and to reinstate the lost German territory back to the Reich.

2, Soviet Union is angered that Poland has been given her independence, Soviet Union or more to the point Stalin wants it back and also he wants the Baltic and Finnish states back as well.

Western Europe such as Britain and France give assurances that they will gauruntor the independence of those European states.

So in 1940/41 Germany and Soviet Union invade Poland and so WW2 breaks out.
