Well to each his own and you are entitled to your opinion. At least Wilconqr let us know the basis of his answers. No need to go all Frenchie on us.

The original question postulates the Zionist movement aiming for Alaska, vs Palestine. However sucessfull or unsucessfull they are there, or any other alternatives leaves a more interesting side to the question, which has not ben raised here.

With no effort to create a Zionist or Isreali nation in Palestine how does the history of the Middle East and the Arab nations develop after 1945? How would the territory of Palestine be distributed politically? Would the adjacent nations fight over it?

Without the Isreali nation to hate will the adjacent Arab states waste the same ammount of their wealth on oversized armys?

With no Jewish nation in Palestine who will Arab demogogic politicians have to blame for their troubles?

With no Jewish nation in Palestine for the US to support how will its political relations with the Arab & Muslim nations be affected?

From 1900 to 2000 what nation recived the largest number of jewish immigrants. I'm unsure of the answer and am having little luck in locating reliable sources.

The Arab nations would still be the misgynological, feudal, famial, divided, tribal bunch of cut-throats and thugs they are today. How would they go about quarreling? With guns, tanks, and the always popular homicide bomber.

Of course they will. The Soviets and French in particular are very persusave arms merchants and always willing to unload their wares on those with more money than brains.

Variously, "The West," each other, other religions to include differing sects of Islam, and the ever popular Jews. I don't think the last need even particularly be on the same planet to share the blame in Arabworld.

The Arabs will still hate the US (and the West) not to mention their self-loathing, and just surly disposition as an ethnic group in general.

After some serious thought, i conclude they would start a war with Canada, based on some Anti-Semetic claptrap.

Anyone can call him/herself a Christian. ...for the tree is known by his fruit (Matthew 12:33). We disagree most of the time, however, I thought you were a little smarter than this. The above statement is totally asinine.

Being a Good Christian myself, I''ll offer the other cheek.

Surely not to the exclusion of others, who told you your truth is the one and not your Neighbour's?

Anyway,we're drfiting way off-topic and I have a gut feeling this is going to degenerate into a [IMG], which is a pity, as [IMG]

From someone who claims to have historical knowledge and experience of research, that is the biggest load of asinine manure.

Leaving aside the clearly racist and ill-informed comments about the people of the Middle East, you have fallen into the usual trap of extrapolating the past from the present in a way that takes no account of the reasons for the anti-Americanism in the region or the outcome of 60 years of history without the state of Israel.

You state that the French and Russians sell arms to the ME countries without reference to the huge sums provided to Israel by America for their purchases (most then spent on US arms). Do you think that America would have refrained from selling arms to other clients in the region if Israel didn’t exist? The geopolitics of oil would have played just as much of a role, and America would have wanted a slice of that. For example, their preoccupation with taking over the markets of Britain are plainly apparent in the history of their dealings with Iran up to 1979, and the their involvement in numerous "regime changes" in the region are just clear.

You also ignore the fact that the main issue in the region for the last 60 years has been the antagonism between Israel and the surrounding countries. Over that period attempts by Israel to divide the countries by making overtures to individual regimes has been a major issue in the conflicts between these nations.

And the Palestinian refugee problem has been a major problem in the internal politics of some of these countries – an issue that would not have occurred without them having forced out of Palestine.

I’ve gotten used to your islamophobia, Gardner, and I’ve seen the way that you’ve tried to sh*t-stir on other forums. And I shall continue to counter any and every piece of racist cr*p you’re willing to throw out.

......and off we go, yet again

It used to say : 'Intelligent Discussion About WWII' at the head of this Forum.

We seem to be getting more and more into current Political controversy here which degenerates almost immediately into personal mud-slinging, disrespect and outright abuse.

I'm not taking sides here or even singling out this particular thread - it has arisen in quite a few areas of late and I have to say that I for one am getting thoroughly tired and bored with it.

There must - surely ? - be many other places on the Internet where you can all indulge in the sort of activities mentioned above.

Some of you guys are killing this Forum.

I couldn't agree with you more Za Rodinu and Martin. This senseless garbage has no place. What's more, these threads all seems to be thrown way way off topic. I think a few members here have earned themselves some time in the cooler.

Mark my words: Keep your petty arguments away from these forum or I will ban you.
