My screen name comes from my mother. According to Greek tradition, I was supposed to be named George, but mom nixed that. Besides, I had two cousins named George already, they would have had to issue us numbers. Hmmm That would have made me George III.

A long time ago when I started gaming, I needed a good name. So, I opened a dictionary and randomly picked Bishop. It meant "the all knowing and all seeing". Then, I just tacked my initials on the end of it. Been rolling with it ever since.

Volga Boatman was the name of a well known Glen Miller tune from wartime years. I also wanted to appeal to the more sensitive types who would take me for a shepard.

besides, Volga sounds a lot like 'vulgar', and 'boatmen' are hard swearing, salty types....just a matter of taste really. Real name, Christopher Jensen, the Danish version of Smith, and therefore a little too prolific. We would all like an alter ego....

I surf, and I drive a Samurai, hence Surfersami!

I ride a 9'7" Con CC Rider shaped by Claude Codgen.
My Samurai is an 1986 with Lockers front/rear, 3" lift, and a VW diesel engine. It ain't fast, but at 40 mpg it is very economical!

When I First joined the forces in 77 I came across one Hard Nose Scottish Irish Warrant Officer, Old School. He couldn't Pronounce
my last name He asked what country is that name from, I told him Spain he Replied your a Spaniard? I told Him, Yes Sir. You look
like the Type thats going to disappoint me and bring Tears to my Eyes, My Little Spanish Onion. I'll try not To Sir, I replied.

He would address me as His Little Spanish Onion or Onion when he got Pissed at me for doing Something wrong, Or Spaniard when
he was happy with my Progress.
