I posted links to some of these in another thread but they are useful enough that I'm creating a thread for them. Over on the axis history forum mescal has posted a series of charts by month, nation, and class on the availability of ships (by name!). Here's the ones I've found today but I think I'm missing a few. Oh it not only tells the status (damaged, sunk, in repair) but also where the ship was (Atlantic, Pacific, etc) during the month of interest at least in most cases.

I think there's an IJN one as well but didn't see it with a quick look.
