That really is a great piece. Congratulations. I would have done the same and swipe it up as soon as seeing it!

The items in the case belonged to SSGT Jerald Stump. I had the opportunity to acquire his footlocker a few years back. I finally was able to put together the box so I guess in a sense it is "new".He participated in quiet a few battles in the Pacific including Iwo Jima. The red and green pieces on the bottom are from a Japanese Zero and the white item is from a Japanese parachute.

Nice. Radioman/Radarman rate or electronics warfare? From WWII? Just that I never saw one like that and the pin has no meaning for me either. U.S. Navy before my time, anyway. And the patch above the crow, what is it?

This is a grouping that I just picked up to Lt. S.T. ONSLOW who was an observer on Barracuda torpedo/dive-bombers on the HMS Vengeance. He then switches over to Fireflies. Grouping includes his medals which are still in the original box and his log book and also about 150 pictures. First grouping for me of a British carrier pilot!

Nice displays. The radarman patch is rated #3 in rarity grade.

I thought it might be something different. As I said I don’t buy just a uniform I like to get at least something else for research purposes. I gave my name to the person who I purchased from and just asked to keep me in mind if he dents anything else. That’s the problem in my opinion when they start to just get rid of dads old things not understanding what they might have.

    Hey Guys,

I just picked up this MK2 grenade. I love its character with the original yellow popping through in the worn areas.

    Thanks,
    James

I always go out of my way to get log books. I just got the following two RAF with one being a Flight Engineer and the other is an Observer/Gunner. Both are full of great history but what makes the one belonging to Sgt Glanville is that he flew missions during DDAY. It was hard keeping my hand from shaking as I opened for the first time. log1.JPG log2.JPG log3.JPG

I just purchased this Navy Painted G1 Jacket that is connected to the Korean Conflict. I have not collected anything before that was post 45 but could not resist the artwork that was done. Since many of the vets from WW2 were called back up I guess that is my connection. The zipper works great and the sleeves and bottom elastic are in great condition. I stole one of my wife's super padded hangers and now it hangs above my desk.
