    Nice photo of one fFnnish and one Swedish nurse , the Finnish one in the middle. Also the Finnish volunteer trying to shake their hand but something is disturbing.

    Just back from a very warm weeks' holiday in Normandy and I managed to pick up a couple of pieces.

    I've often hankered after a British Army GS folding seat as seen in many photos of Monty's TAC HQ, and also in this famous photo...

    A very thorough rummage in the big Brocante depot at Bayeux came up trumps - it had obviously been 'picked over' ( especially in June ! ) but, folded up, I recognized this straightaway. Complete with remains of 'Army brown' paint, and stamped WD with broad arrow, GR VI and Crown, 'F. Wild Ltd 1943'........

    It's now in my collection...and it's from Normandy !

    ( The shellcases ? They're another story..... )
