    Did the Luftwaffe commit more to the bombing campaign before or after 1943? Which is exactly when the Bombing campaign really got to full speed, and most Daylight missions were not blessed with the advent of having escorts the whole trip. Thanks for the insight Iwd, good counter arguments :)

    I'm not an expert on this but there have been some pretty detailed conversations comparing various commitments over time of German forces by front. One does have to be careful as sometimes people compare the commitments of the LW on the western Front vs the Eastern Front when the Western Allied airforces were opposing the LW not only in the West but also in the Med and over the Reich (LW considered defense of the Reich a separate are as opposed to the Western Front.)
