Willa Walker blazed the way for Canadian airwomen

    I am lost in admiration when I think about Willa Walker. At the age of 28, her husband in a German prison camp, having just lost her baby son to crib death, she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and became head of the entire Women’s Division. It really was the Greatest Generation!

    Elinor, you've done it again. Willa's story is more of a fairy tale. It's hard to imagine how much she endured only to emerge victorious.
