World of Tanks mmo game

I've found the teaser on youtube YouTube - World of Tanks Teaser #1 And the www.worldoftanks.com says it's gonna be mmo about tanks vs. tanks. One player = one tank with the battle up to 30 tanks at a time.

What do you think about it?

 

check out the similar game Blitz1941, it is just like NavyField but for ww2 tanks.

The teaser is nice, but do you think the tanks in the game gonna be realistic, or is it just in this video?

 

Check the screenshots. I've searched through the official forum and it looks like the tanks, assault guns and SPGs will be real. The developers say they're even balancing the ballistics and armor penetration to look like in real life

Looks intressting and could be cool to try out.
But judging from the videos it doesn't look realistic at all. A panther taking 3 shots in the side from a KV-85.

Not to mention all tanks are speeding around in circles. CoH style...

Odd choices of tanks tho. Why no IS-2? I mean it was the only IS tank that really saw alot of action in WW-2
Instead they pick IS-4s and 7s that never saw action.

Sure could be that they want unit to match king tigers etc..But still IS-2s should atleast be in the list...

 

Something tells me that this is not the full version of a tank tree... Russians already play beta-verion and they say there's much more tanks then showed on that tree

Have you guys played Blitz1941? I got very excited about it, but it wasn't that good. Any thoughts?

 

CBT are planning for April, as far as I know. And as for Blitz it wasn't a bad game but these two can't be even compared anyway. This one is of a different quality level.

 

So you say it's April? that's good 'cause the april has just started

 

So April, great! This looks great, hope that it is better than Blitz1941. It sure look better.

Public beta will be released early summer and final version early fall according to the official game forums

Also, there have been a lot of discussion about not having factions in the game. American and German tanks would fight side by side in same teams against another teams. However, faction vs faction game mode is planned.

Any thoughts about this? In my opinion, there has to be faction vs faction mode. I find that there is no sense and interest of playing just regular team games.
