Indeed Arma is a legitimate source of combat simulation.
Unlike sand box child's toy of a video game such as Call of Duty where every engagement takes place at 10 feet away.
Arma seems to be more real in the sense that firefights in Arma take place at 230-370 meters away from eachother.
In real life people will aim out beyond 400 yards to ambush their opponents.

I used to play Operation Flashpoint Red River on PS3 in 2011 and remember that game being more realistic then any call of duty game I had witness.
