I am researching for information on a downed aircraft on Prince of Wales Island, AK. I am looking for any information someone might have. The only story I have gathered was that a WWII airplane went down and the survivors lived in a native village until they could be rescued. Not sure how accurate this is. The plane is located on Big Salt Lake near Klawock,AK. The shell is still there and is in decent condition but hard to get to. I have searched various web sites, national archives, and have had no luck. ANY info would be great. Thanks,
