WWII P44 USMC Jacket named to CPL Livingston

Hey all!

Purchased this P44 jacket awhile back for $85. I feel like it's a good buy, but I have one big question. Does anyone know when it was made? I looked for a date on the inside of the jacket behind on the back area, and I can hardly make out the size number of '42' stamped there. This jacket also has brass buttons, and it is named to a Marine Corporal named 'Livingston'. Your help is much appreciated! Thanks fellas
