    Here-ye, here-ye!

Ok, guys - for those of you in the greater Indiana / Illinois area, I'm giving you the official HEADS-UP for one of the largest regional re-enactments you will find!

Coming in two weekends (FIRST WEEKEND IN MAY) at "Buckley Homestead" just east of Lowell, IN. There is an expected attendance of approxiamately 300 re-enactors of various "nationalities" including, but not limited to, the following:

    German:
    - Heer and XX Panzer Grenadier, Infantry
    - Luftwaffe Paras and Field Divisions
    - Armored Fighting Vehicles (Halftracks, Hetzer, others)
    - Original Field Ordinance (75mm Pak, 75mm IG, 37mm Pak, 8cm Mortars, MGs, PanzerSchrecks, 50mm Paks (russian), mines, etc...)

    US:
    - Line Infantry, Armored Infantry
    - 82nd Airborne, 101st, Glidesborne
    - Stuart, multiple Halftracks, possibility of Sherman / Chaffee / Jacksons
    - Field Ordinance (75mm Howitzer, mortars, MGs, etc...)

    British:
    - Guards, Line, Paras
    - Bren Carriers? Assorted weaponry

    Polish:
    - Paras and Armored

Also in attendance will be repeated flybys by assorted military craft, inlcuding the P-51, Ju-52, Ju-87, and a US Transport plane.

There could also be Free French or resistance.

The scenario is shortly after D-Day, June - '44.
I'm telling you - this is one of my favorite events nationwide! Be there, and have a great time. Public display battles occur on Saturday and Sunday, twice a day, before and after the lunch period. Period camps will be displayed, as well as informative shows covering 40's life. Historic "personas' will be in attendance, as well!

    Yes, they do!

Check "At the Front's" EVENT CALENDAR for more information! You'll find it to be arranged chronologically.

And if you get some pictures--please send a copy of some to Otto and see if he will post them in the reenacting section--that would be nice to see. [IMG]
