I mainly focus on the European theater of WWII in my military "studies". I am interested in most wars I have ever heard of, but WWII is the coolest if I may use the term. I spacifically like the armor, and aircraft.
I am generally interested in history but wouldn't call myself an expert in any area. My main domains of interest in history are both world wars, the revolutionnary/napoleonic wars as well as the spanish conquest of latin america.
I try to know a little bit on most subjects, however I am master of none. My knowledge revolves around US forces and equipment (go figure, I'm from the states) and I'm not proud about going and looking something up. I've been involved with the military vehicle hobby since I was a sophmore in high school (I think :-? I can't really remember that far back  ) and have picked up a thing or two over the years. So who wants to talk about NASCAR
Military specialty I know something about US tank tactics of the 1960's, and I know about the M-60 tank (my MOS was 1203/1204). I am most interested in German tanks, tactics, etc of WW II.
I've been hooked on WW II aircraft since I saw the movie "Battle of Britain" at age six. I know a lot more about Allied aircraft than I do about Axis.
I specialise in the technology. Interested in AFV design, weapons design, aircraft design. Am very mathematical, and read a number of languages, also prepared to learn new ones if it helps me. Particular interests are Soviet/ Russian armou and aircraft post-WWI, but any military technology at all of the 20th century. Am working on a databse of ALL anti-tank capable weapons, including penetration formulae, (simplifying them for wargamers) and realted topics. Oh, yeah, main speciality - being a smart-arse :smok: Oli
Mainly interested in planes and tanks, but i also know quite a bit about the battles in the pacific. i also know about the american civil war if anyones interested
Normandy, Bulge Aircraft- Us , Brit , German Better than average for an American about the eastern front
Aircraft, armor and ships. A little of this and a bit of that. Just fascinated by military history, the battles and the equipment used. Also the Korean War, Vietnam, and to some degree, contemporary aircraft and armor use. Building models since I was probably 10... so that makes 40 years or so. By the way, on "The Great Planes" website, I post as "Double T." Yeah, Hi guys! Tim
me262: Thanks. I found the modeling section, and responded to your question about using buffable metalizer and silver/aluminum-type paints. Ricky: Generally the clue to my posts would be my "Tim" at the end of each. I decided to go with "Hoosier" here. Sorry for the confusion. I surely do wish I could post-up some photos of my work. No digital camera, no scanner for prints or the like. I'm envious of you guys who are so well-equipped, and PC savvy. Tim
Well, I did wonder, but there are a lot of people called Tim... You should post in the 'what does your name signify' topic. (It is called 'Usernames' - http://www.fun-online.sk/forum/viewtopi ... t=nickname)
