    What number did the German Navy build to-as in Z-1, etc etc....

    I think It went to Z-27 or Z-28. I maybe wrong though

    I must have missed this.....

    Z-1 through Z 22 were named with the Z-22 given the name Anton Schmitt which was hit by two torpedoes and broke in half at anchor in Narvik 11 April 1940. After the disaster at Narvik subsequent Destroyers were numbered Z-23 through Z-39 then skipped to Z-43 which was the second to the last one and it served in the Baltic in 1944-45, damaged by mines and bombs and then scuttled in Geltinger Bay on 3 May 1945. Z-44 through Z-47 were not launched and the last Destroyer was Z-51, launched October 2, 1944 and it met it's fate in an air raid on Bremen on 21 March 1945. Broken up in 1946-47.....
