Sunday will be the 65th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid. Another day at the office for the British but a tragic Day for Canada. An historic day for the USA as it was the first time their ground forces fought on mainland Europe in WW2. Has anyone a list of those 50 US Rangers and how many of them survived the war? I've asked on another Forum but we have more Americans here so maybe I'll get a result. I'll be on holiday down the coast from Dieppe soon but not sure I'll be able to get there for the 19th.
Still looking on the web but this very cheap book's blurb on the US Amazon claims it has the name of every WW2 Ranger (as far as possible).: Amazon.co.uk: Rangers in World War II: Books: Robert W. Black US Blurb & 'search inside': Amazon.com: Rangers in World War II: Books: Robert W. Black
Duuuh! Amrit posted a link to a full list on this thread: Rangers on the Dieppe Raid (Found the thread on Google... serve me right for not searching here properly... again .)
