I've tried looking to see if a thread already exists for website links, but have not seen it. If there is one, perhaps, the moderators could put them together. We all link to various sites when corroborating or expanding on a post, but they can be hard to find once one tries to find it again. I thought I would add some of the sites that those doing information or family history requests might find useful. I've got 32 plus pages of sites and will add them here as I verify that the links are still live effective the date of the post.

The German Cemetery Near Broadhurst Green
The German Cemetery near Broadhurst green, on Cannock Chase is a memorial to some 5,000 German war dead, where the servicemen's graves are marked by headstones of Belgian granite, set in plots of heather and tended by gardeners.

The cemetery is a tribute to the spirit of co-operation existing between the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgraberfürsorge (German War Graves Commission).

This is great, I don't know whether the same thing happened to other members, but several of these links appeared in purple instead of blue, so I immediatley knew which ones I had recently visited or not. Thanks again Michelle, some really useful sites here.

 

Hmm, the blue/purple may be happening because I didn't resave my word document after confirming the links were live prior to adding them to my post. An oversight on my part. Depending on what happens for others, you might want to double check that you really did visit the ones appearing in purple. I've gone back made all the links read as blue, hopefully you will still have the benefit of them going purple when you visit the site.
