I have many times thought of posting this link.

Norwegians are mad about british football. Since the 60ies we have seen the battle for the FA cup and the 1st div/Premiership on the telly.
The top teams all have supporteclubs in Norway. The biggest is Man Utd with some 31,500 registerd members followed by Liverpool 22,000 and East Stirlingshire FC 6,410... Yes East Stirlingshire FC. This small Scottish club dubbed the worst football club in the UK has grown from nil to 6,410 members since 8th of May 2007. The humorous sports programme Golden Goal visited the club and did a report on it. A Norwegian play at the club and he was interviewed. As a spontainious reaction a supporter club was made just for fun. And now the Shire has a norwegian fan base of 6,410. And it isn't just for fun anymore. Norwegians travel over to watch games and buy their stripes.

Here is the link to the norwegian fan site, it is also availiable in english.
