Hello everyone, the name's James. I'm a 16 year old male from Massachusetts, USA. I am thoroughly educated on World War II as I took the initiative to study it my self when I was in eight grade. The subject fascinates me (and I acknowledge the reality of it as well, while I do love the subject I realize it was a bloody time). I am currently writing my 10th grade research final (12 page essay) on Operation Barbarossa. I hope to learn and have some good conversations here.

Thanks.

G'day mate and welcome to the forum.

I see that there are younger and younger people getting involved in this forum and into ww2 which is great to see.:)
For want of a nail the shoe was lost, for the want of a shoe the horse was lost, for the want of a horse the rider was lost, for the want of a rider the battle was lost, For want of a battle the kingdom was lost, and all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

Robert,

Hello James! Welcome to the forum. Good to see younger people taking an interest in history, in general, and WWII, in particular. You will learn much here and will have much to contribute, too, I am sure! I grew up just North of Boston so it is always good to have a fellow Bay Stater on board!

Cheers!

Welcome to the Forum, James. There are several threads that discuss Operation Barbarossa. It will be interesting to read your posts. As I mentioned in another younger person's welcome, I'm thrilled when anyone your age shows an interest in World War II. Enjoy the Forum.
Regards, Michelle
