Hello All! Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am not too familiar with forums, but from I have seen and read so far, I think I am going to like this! I stumbled across the forum while searching around for information on the World War II weekend that is held in Reading, PA each year. My interest in WWII was sparked by my grandparents. My grandfather, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, bought me every issue of the World at War magazine. These would come out every week and he would bring me the new issue each week, after church. He spoke very little about the War, so I think this was his way of exposing me to what the War was all about. I am glad I found this site and I am humbled to be a part of community who has so many WWII veterans. Thank you all, for your service and courage. Without your sacrifice and dedication, we wouldn't have the liberties and freedoms we hold so dear. Rick aka: Ruptured Duck
Welcome, Ruptured Duck. The Forum has much to offer you. We are very lucky to have WWII Veterans who have graciously shared their memories with us. To avoid confusion though the WWII Veterans are so designated by having their names in blue, others who have the designation veteran are veterans of the Forum and have many postings to their credit.
