Is there any documentation of how many U.S. or allied soldiers were killed in Europe or worldwide in the year or two after WWII ended?

Try just searching for history of U.S. Navy.
Then look for casualties. Options for other branches came up after that.
Surf Baby Surf!
I found it by accident (like most other things), and it gave numbers by years up to 1947.
It gave catagories I've never heard of, training accidents, non war zones, even the number of soldiers incompacitated by VD. Which was 606 Americans a day in WW2.
