Can anyone help identify these american wwii medals?

    Found them while looking through grandparents materials...these r the only two medals who was awarded tht i dont know why or what the signifcance of them were... ne one know?

    The one on the Right I believe to be a Belgian Croix de Guerre.

    I cant find anything difinitive for the one on the left. The lettering gets a bit blury. Can you post what it says? I found similiar but the ribbons don't match

    Well, they're not American. They both have the same crown and lion. I would have guess British. But don't know.

    thank you very much for the help. i tried everything to find them. since its an award from belgiam, is there anywy I can find out the story behind him deserving the award?
