I just stumbled on this site today. It makes the 3rd forums in the last 2 days I've joined concerning the subject of WW2. My main subjects of interest are the American submarine campaign and aircraft paint schemes. The more unique schemes interest me the most, like Luftwaffe captured aircraft, or lend-lease aircraft. What brought me here specificly was trying to find info on Spitfires leased to the USAAF. More specificly, the serial numbers of there aircraft.

That is another thing I am a big stickler over, aircraft serail numbers and knowing what exact plane went where.

One thing does puzzle me about this site thought.....whats up with all the medals under people's user IDs?

Welcome! You will enjoy your time here. There are a lot of fine fellows and ladies contributing and the debate is always kept well under control by our moderators!

If you are in to submarine warfare, you may also want to check out the Sharkhunters web site at German U-Boat History - Sharkhunters - German U-Boat History - Official Publication. The site is really dedicated to German u-boats but it can give you a lot of data on submarines.
