Please enjoy this "short" that came from one of my WWII buddies who was a CBI pilot. The story-line features the real 'living history' with a ETO veteran and his two grand children. It is well worth the few minutes spent viewing. "This tribute to the Gray Eagles (WWII pilots) was in conjunction with an air show at Rickenbacker Field at Lockbourne AFB, Columbus, Ohio, called, 'The Final Roundup.' It was the last large gathering of the remaining P-51 Mustang fighters used during WWII. There were about 120 of the fighters there... all of them in flying condition, of course. The flyover seen at the end of the video is composed entirely of P-51s spelling out the number 51. It was an event that will never be seen again." Gray Eagles Foundation Sue
Sue thanks for the vid there is a glitch in the video about the time Jimmy is checking out the fuselage of the Mustang copy, the vid freezes up. had the pleasure of years ago a small interview with the man and having his sig on Goebels book "Mustang Ace" also in 07 at the Gaterhing of Mustangs and Legends there was the obvious fly-by but also the 51 was spelled out as well
