I am looking for aerial photos of the d-day beaches I have found a few but not that great of a resolution. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be appreciated. Thanks
There are quite a few on TARA- The Aerial Reconnaissance Archive which is now at Welcome to RCAHMS - Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland Don't know if they've actually got it up and running yet though.
there are also beaches phto'd by the LW as well flying the Ar 234 but am sure you are looking for Allied correct ?
Aerial Recon. photos can be a bit tricky to find, many sites claim to have them but send you round in circles trying to look at them. If you want archive shots then try here: The D-Day Beaches Or if you're after recent images then this site is excellent: DDay04.com - 1,200 aerial photos of the Normandy landings locations
