Arms drops to the French Resistance

    I live in France and an arms drop was made two miles from where i live. The code name ,transmitted by the BBC was IF I DIE,AVENGE ME. The arms were dropped on 24/25 July 1943 in Maisontiers in the Deux Sevres region of France. I would like to find out information on the operation/crew etc. Any help would be appreciated. I have information on the resistance fighters who received the arms. A sad ending unfortunately.

    OK thanks. There was quite a bit resistance activity in my region.Himmler visited a town 25 mins to the north called Thouars en Thouet. The 17th panzer division was formed during the war in Thouars so Himmler made a visit. I have been doing a bit research on Das Reich. They were involved in the masacres at Tulle and Oradour-sur-Glane.
