downhill slide. Much to the embarrassment of his fellow Montanans, and no doubt his family as well. Hope his little brother (also a QB from Great Falls, MT.) doesn't follow him down this path.

CANYON, Texas – Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf has been indicted by a Randall County grand jury on drug and burglary charges

I was very disappointed in his off-field, locker-room antics at San D., and his on-field performance was dismal as well.

has once again fallen into trouble of his own making. Ryan Leaf, most likely the worst first round pick for the NFL in history, number two after Peyton Manning is once again on the wrong side of the law.

Ryan Leaf, who has spent much of his life in the glamour of success or the glare of shame, was arrested in his hometown of Great Falls Friday afternoon on burglary, theft and drug charges.

Drug addiction is a destroyer of lives. This is truly a sad story. Hopefully he will get help some day.

Charges formally filed in Leaf case, and the news just gets worse and worse for him. Terrible and sad what addictions can do. Of course he had what I considered a major personality flaw before he got hooked, but the drugs certainly didn't help.

Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf has been formally charged with four felonies on accusations that he broke into an acquaintance's home in Great Falls to steal prescription painkillers, then robbed a second home two days after being released from jail.

    The charges, filed by the
Cascade County Attorney's Office on Thursday but not released to the public until Friday afternoon, include two counts of burglary and two counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. If convicted, Leaf faces a maximum prison sentence of 20 years on each burglary charge and five years for each possession charge.
