Hello: Is there any website that has pics of the MFG markings on WW-2 German belt buckles? I've got an aluminum "Gott Mit Uns"buckle. Purchased as battle dug relic (Russia). It's in pretty good condition.
Has eagle w/Swastika and pebbled finish. I find no dates, but has some markings under the hook on the back. Appear to be in Gothic letters and I can't make out what it says. Looking for reference w/pic to compare to.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

he best would be to post a picture so that people may be able to help .

This being said, I usually don't trust materail from Eastern europe, they can make great looking fakes.

In the meantime here are few links to help

Thats the trouble these days-EVERYTHING is either found in Russia in general-and or at Stalingrad. Case in point-the so-called Italian Helmet that some guy posted months ago saying the person he bought it from found it at Stalingrad-which indeed turned out to be a Russian Combat lid.
