Yes Gordon, and can you tell what is the connection between 602 City of Glasgow squadron and the infamous ''Moors Murderer''Ian Brady?.

Gordon!-one of 602's outstanding fighter pilots Archie McKellar D.F.C. and D.S.O. went to Shawlands Academy in Glasgow-the same school as Ian Brady-one of that gruesome twosome 'The Moors Murderers'' Brady and Hindley.
Archie McKellar D.F.C. and D.S.O. was shot down in 1940 over Essex in 1940 and died.

I think you can honestly say - 'not a lot of people know that...' ;)

True.
Brian,
Archie McKellar shot down one of the Ju88's on the October 16th 1939 raid on the Forth.

Yes I'd forgotten about that!-Gordon get yourself over to Port Seton East Lothian as the family of on eof the fisherman who pulled one of the JU-88 pilots Rolf..somebody still have the solid gold Luftwaffe ring that the Luftwaffe pilot gave to their Dad asa token of the kind treatment he ahd received from the fisherman who hauled him out of the Forth.
Have you also seen the riddled tail fin panel from the Humbie Heinkel iii and one of its defensive 7.9 mm machine guns in the museum at Edinburgh Castle?.
There is also a Russian WW.2. PH ''Burp sub-machine gun presented to the citizens of Edinburgh by that old monster, Joe Stalin, on display there.
