Hello! I am desperately seeking ANY info on my father's world war 2 service. He trained at Chanute Field, Illinois and became a military policeman. His name was Lawrence "Larry" Barenthin.
He was sent to England with the 1062nd M.P. Co., Det. A.
From a letter I have that he sent his aunt, I know he was in Belgium in Oct. 1944.
I have recently found a man who served in the 1062 but doesn't remember my father as they were split up into two groups. They guarded convoys, radio outfits and even went into Buchenwald.
If there is anyone who can tell me more specifics or introduce me to a fellow veteran of this compny, I would be ever grateful!!

    Thank you,
    Paul
