We have the where would you serve.. And the 82nd airborne has a waiting list... Easy company 101 is full.. The ss requires references and 2 months deposit in advance. So where do you not want to go? And a reason? For me I dont want to go to Hong Kong with the Canadians in 1941. I shouldn't be there, I would be more use in Rangoon. We may even change some history.. Where dont you want to be?

Malta. The service was simply ghastly. 32 minutes just to get the drinks, and no sugar for the tea. Barbaric I'd say. And don't get me started on the golf course...

I would probably do whatever I could to avoid Hiroshima and Nagasaki the first couple weeks of August 1945. The Rhur Valley would need to be given a wide berth as well.

Anyplace cold or inclimate whatsoever is off the list as well as anyplace without running water and concierge service.

I'd avoid being Luftschutz in Hamburg or Defense Passive in Le Havre, Homefront in Coventry or Rotterdam. Then I'd rather not go the Ostfront.

I would really like to avoid the Romanian oil fields between June of 1942, until August of 1944 when the allies bombed Ploesti almost without let up! Fighting fires isn't fun by any stretch, and doing it in a "flammable" area has to bite the big one.
