My name is Bob Konings. Since june 2008 I live in Grandmenil/Belgium Ardennes. I'm 38 years old, officially Dutch. I guess I'm interested in world war II as long as I can remember. Because I moved to Grandmenil, I decided to research the war events in this area and with succes. In april 2009 I've launched my website "the battle of Grandmenil". It costed me 1,5 years to do the research and create the website. I'm still working on it, every day. I guess it became an addiction....
My interests are focussed on this area (Baraque de Fraiture, Manhay and Grandmenil). But sometimes I move further away, wich resulted in a article about the so called "Ottré Massacre".

During my strolls in the woods I found several things of the battle of the bulge, like bullets and loads of shrapnel.
I like to read about the battle of the bulge, I love to research events and watch movies.
I'm an owner of a bed and breakfast and a small bureau for counseling.

    Well, that's it for now.

    Bob

Welcome Bob. I always say that local historians are the true unsung heros. When we travel to Europe to visit the battlefields, we depend on the local historians to guide us, and inform us on a wealth (sometimes a lifetime) of information. I look forward to your input.
