1. My name's Richard but you can call me Dick.
2. I am 23 years old. I first became interested in WWII in 3rd grade.
3. I am from the U.S.A
4. I have mostly been interested in the European theater and the Airbourne divisions. I would like to know more about the campaign in North Africa and the Eastern front.
5. I enjoy reading, and exercising. Almost every book I read is on WWII. I occassionally play video games and try to find any WWII games I can. I collect items from WWII whenever I can get them. I have a Hitler Youth knife, name-tag of my great grandfather who was in the Navy, and a few other smaller things. As of now, I have not visited any historic WWII sites. I would love to go to France and visit Normandy.

If anyone has any book or video game suggestions, let me know.
Thanks!

Well Dick, what a gold mine this is for you ;) Plenty of rogues who fancy the same delicacies. Have fun here, and if you need anything let me know. If you can post a pic of your Hitler Youth Knife, please do.

all the best,

Jem

Welcome aboard, Dick. I think you've landed in the right place. Check out the various threads and reviews on books about the various theaters of operation. There are hundreds of books mentioned and reviewed. You might also want to look at the simulations and games threads.

Have fun.

Welcome matey.

There is a forum here specifically for the Games side of things, just head over there and you will see all the threads already listed.
For want of a nail the shoe was lost, for the want of a shoe the horse was lost, for the want of a horse the rider was lost, for the want of a rider the battle was lost, For want of a battle the kingdom was lost, and all for the want of a horseshoe nail.
