I'm interested in the 100th Bomb Squadron - (not the 100th Bomb Group - which was based in the UK during the war). The 100th BS (all B--25s) was part of the 42nd Bomb Group from about January of 1944 until September of 1945, from Guadacanal to the Philippines. My father was a T/Srgt. mechanic type - not flight crew, but he slogged through the jungle nontheless for 2 years. Never talked about it, so I am just now trying to get some detail. I do have a few neat photos from Hollandia and later bases.

TIA

Welcome to the forum.
For want of a nail the shoe was lost, for the want of a shoe the horse was lost, for the want of a horse the rider was lost, for the want of a rider the battle was lost, For want of a battle the kingdom was lost, and all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

Robert,

Thanks Guys!

I'm putting some stuff together this year from my father's 2 years in the Pacific Theater during WWII.

I hope it will be of interest to the group.
