Hi, my name is Louise Jeffers, my Dad served in WWII drafted in 1943. He served as an MP first attached to First Army 7th Corps ("B" company 507th Military Police Battalion). Main Duty was prisoner control and traffic duty. After six months he was transferred to the Third Armored Division in the Ardennes. I have lots of info on the Third Armored but not much on the 7th Corps, 507th Military Police Battalion or the 29th Infantry Division Military Police Platoon in Bremer Germany where Dad was transferred after the Third Armored was deactivated after the war. We are doing a family video of Dad's War experiences and need to fill in the gaps. Fortunately we taped the interviews in the fall prior to finding out he was ill. We didn't finish but were close - except for more info on the two units above. Dad is currently in Hospice. Anything anyone knows about the Corps or the Division would be helpful. Dad's name is Henry D Soderberg and he was from Upper Darby PA. He trained at Ft Custer and arrived Utah Beach 06/13/1944. Thank you for an interesting and informative forum. I hope to learn much from being a member.

Dear Lou, Thank you for the link to the 29th, I wasn't aware of it. I will go there tonight and I will send to the 'St. Wayne' who is editing the video (a young man who until recently worked for one of the local news stations in Philly). Thank you again! Louise

No I will go there now. I am also looking for an MP helmet from the war - or a photo of one. Thanks, Louise
