I have looked around for a while after reading a segment in a book (I think it was Panzer Battles of the Waffen-SS) where the narrators unit came up against a unit compromised of women. Havent been able to find much information I thought I might as well delve the forum and see if anybody has anything useful.

Does anybody have any information pertaining to reflections by soldiers, battle ratings and general thoughts etc by the Germans on these units?

Thanks Ray, might I ask what search engine that is? It seems to work quite well.

i think i read this story in one of anthony beevors:
when the 16th panzer division was advancing to the north of stalingrad they came up against women defending with AA guns. when they overan the position and saw that the gunners were women, they were disgusted and shocked.

strange really, they couldn't stand the thought of fighting women, even though their onslaught had led to the deaths of so many innocent women and children.
